Birmingham City have completed the signing of defender Georgia Brougham from FA Women’s Super League rivals Everton according to the Blues’ official website.
The 23-year-old has moved to the SportNation.bet Stadium in Solihull on a loan deal for the remainder of the current campaign.
Brougham has been handed the number 16 shirt by new club Birmingham City and the player will go straight into Marta Tejedor’s squad for the trip to Reading on Sunday.
The defender came through the youth ranks at Manchester City and made a handful of appearances for the club after making her senior debut in 2014 against Everton.
Brougham joined Everton in 2016, mid-way through her first professional contract at Manchester City and the defender starred for the club in the FA Women’s Super League 2. Since their promotion to the top tier, Brougham has added further appearances to her tally but the player spent the lead up to the Christmas period as an unused substitute for The Blues Girls.
The defender joins a Birmingham City side who undoubtedly improved prior to the winter break. The Blues had taken four points from two games before their 2-0 defeat at champions Arsenal last weekend upon their return to action following the festive period.
