Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Women’s Super League fixture against Bristol City at The Hive this afternoon has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The playing surface at The Hive has felt the strain of the wet conditions in recent weeks and overnight rain has left some areas of the pitch very heavy with match officials making the decision that the game cannot go ahead.
Tennants Barnet were able to take on Hartlepool United in The National League at The Hive yesterday afternoon but the damage has seemingly been done overnight with the conditions having taken a turn for the worse.
Spurs announced the postponement on their official social media channels around 10am this morning.

Victory against Bristol City could have seen Karen Hills and Juan Amoros’ side climb the table. Spurs are currently seventh but could have jumped as far as fifth with a win over the struggling Robins. On the other hand, Tanya Oxtoby’s Bristol City side were searching for a result which would potentially see them climb off the bottom of the FA Women’s Super League table at the expense of either Birmingham City or Liverpool.
A new date for this afternoon’s postponed fixture will be announced in due course.
