Former Manchester United full-back Alex Greenwood has enjoyed a successful first season with European heavyweights Olympique Lyonnais since moving to the Groupama Stadium in August.
The 26-year-old England international defender made the surprise move to France after helping Manchester United to the FA Women’s Championship title last season.
We take a look back at Greenwood’s first season with Division 1 Feminines champions Lyon as we summarise her career with Les Lyonnaises ‘in numbers’.
15 – Upon joining Lyon, Greenwood was handed the number 15 shirt.
1 – Greenwood won her first piece of silverware for Lyon as they lifted the 2019 Women’s International Champions Cup. The left-back played 90 minutes in both matches against Atletico Madrid and the North Carolina Courage.
313 – Greenwood played 313 minutes of football for Lyon before her side conceded a goal, that coming in a 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in their Trophee des Championnes match, a tie which the European champions won 4-3 on penalties.
0 – Lyon boss Jean-Luc Vasseur is yet to field Greenwood in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The player did not feature against Ryazan in the last-32 or Fortuna Hjorring in the last-16.
10 – Greenwood has appeared in 10 of Lyon’s 16 fixtures in the French Division 1 Feminines so far this season.
5 – Lyon is Greenwood’s fifth club which she has represented during a 10-year professional career. In addition to her one-season stay at Manchester United, she has also played for Everton, Notts County and Liverpool.
60,000 – It is believed that the deal which took Greenwood to Lyon could be worth up to €60,000 to former club Manchester United.
110 – Lyon have scored 110 goals since Greenwood arrived at the club back in August but none of those goals have been scored by the full-back.
Greenwood joined former club Manchester United as a free agent after being released by Liverpool in summer 2018. The player captained United in her only season with the club.
