Arsenal goal machine’s 2019/2020 campaign – In numbers

It has been another scintillating campaign in-front of goal for Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema.

Her first full campaign in North London saw the Dutch international top the goalscoring charts and this season has been no different.

FA Women’s Super League Full-Time look back at Miedema’s latest campaign at Meadow Park as we summarise her season ‘in numbers’.

16 – The striker has netted 16 goals in just 14 Barclays FA Women’s Super League games so far this season.

0.04 – Miedema’s goals per game average in the league this season is 0.04 higher than she achieved over the course of 20 games last season.

14 – Arsenal boss Joe Montemurro has fielded Miedema from the start in each of the club’s 14 league games.

10 – Miedema has also starred for The Gunners in Europe, netting 10 goals in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

6 – December’s 11-1 victory over Bristol City saw Miedema net a record-breaking double hat-trick. She also provided four assists in that astonishing game.

1 – Miedema has scored in just one of her last five Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches, her brace helping Arsenal to a 3-2 away victory over Liverpool in February.

8 – The striker’s eight assists is the best record in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League alongside Chelsea’s attacking midfielder Guro Reiten.

76 – 76% of the goals scored by Arsenal’s forwards in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League this season have come from Miedema.

Arsenal signed Miedema from Bayern Munich in summer 2017 and the player has gone on to establish herself as one of the very best in both club and international football.
