Powell started her career in her home city with Cardiff City. The player successfully graduated through the club’s youth set up before moving to the United States where she represented National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) side Georgia State Panthers. Powell spent a year in America before returning to the UK last summer.
The striker has helped latest club Lewes to achieve a respectable eighth-place finish in the FA Women’s Championship this season. Powell also played her part in Lewes’ hugely impressive performances against top flight sides Reading and Chelsea in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup.
