Former Welsh youth international midfielder Ellie Leek has signed a new contract with Lewes.
The 25-year-old joined The Rookettes back in early January following a spell with Lewes’ FA Women’s Championship rivals Charlton Athletic and she has impressed manager Simon Parker despite having little time to make her mark before the premature end of the 2019/2020 season.
It has today been revealed that Leek has agreed a new contract with Lewes for the upcoming campaign. The news was broadcast by the club on their official Twitter account.

Leek spent her early years within the Bristol City Centre of Excellence before signing her first professional terms with the club in 2013. The midfielder made the bench on several occasions for the senior side but found playing opportunities hard to come by. Her greatest success came with the reserve side as she helped them lift the FA Women’s Premier League Reserve Cup.
The player went on to spend four years in the United States where she made 80 appearances for Auburn Tigers before moving to French Championship Division 2 club Le Havre AC. Leek joined Charlton Athletic last summer and made just a couple of appearances for The Addicks before moving to latest club Lewes.
