Blackburn Rovers duo Milly Robertson and Hope Knight have signed new contracts with the club for the new season.
The pair were prevented from making impacts for Gemma Donnelly’s side for very different reasons last season but they will both be hoping for a more fruitful 2020/2021 campaign.
Young defender Robertson joined Rovers in October 2019. She left the Liverpool Development Squad to move to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium. The player made her debut in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup but sustained an injury which ultimately ended her campaign.
Midfielder Knight was signed by Rovers boss Donnelly after the FA Women’s Championship season had been suspended in March. She signed dual registration terms with the club with the player having also been on the books of Sheffield FC. With the season having been ended, Knight is yet to pull on a Blackburn Rovers shirt.
Rovers confirmed via their official Twitter account earlier today that both players have signed contracts for the coming season.
