Coventry United boss Jay Bradford has retained two more players for the coming season with midfielders Becky Anderson and Max Gauntlett having agreed new deals with the club.
A total of nine members of the 2019/2020 Coventry United squad had already agreed terms to appear for the club in their second season in the FA Women’s Championship and that tally has now reached double figures with Anderson and Gauntlett signing on. In addition to this, Coventry United have offered senior deals to three development squad players.
Anderson returned to the Butts Park Arena last summer following a five-year spell away from the club. The player made eight appearances for Coventry United in the FA Women’s Championship last season, scoring her only goal in the 3-2 home defeat to Durham.
Fellow midfielder Gauntlett was fielded by Coventry United on three occasions in the second tier. The player will be hoping to make a greater impact for Bradford’s side this season as she begins her 10th campaign in red and green.
In addition to the 14 existing Coventry United players who have now signed on for the upcoming campaign, manager Bradford has also brought in five new faces in Georgia Popple, Olivia Smith, Alice Hassall, Phoebe Warner and Ashlee Brown.
