Former Leicester City and Coventry United forward Rosie Axten has joined FA Women’s National League North club Nottingham Forest.
The attacker has joined The Tricky Trees following a short spell with their FA Women’s National League North rivals Derby County and she could go straight into the squad for the club’s opening match of the 2020/2021 season at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Nottingham Forest announced the signing of the striker via their official club Twitter account earlier today.

Axten has played most of her football in the second tier during the last two seasons with FA Women’s Championship clubs Leicester City and Coventry United. She represented Jonathan Morgan’s Leicester City side in 2018/2019, their first campaign in the second tier and the player netted four goals in 19 outings in the FA Women’s Championship. In total, Axten spent four years with The Foxes, making over a century of appearances for the club and finding the back of the net on 60 occasions.
The forward joined Coventry United last summer ahead of their debut campaign in the FA Women’s Championship. Axten featured in 12 league matches for the Warwickshire club, netting her only goal in the 5-1 defeat at Sheffield United last September.
Derby County signed Axten from Coventry United earlier this year but she has now moved to the club’s East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest ahead of the new campaign.
