Durham will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the new FA Women’s Championship season when London City Lionesses are the visitors to Maiden Castle on Sunday.

The Wildcats have collected four points from their opening two league fixtures but they come up against a London City Lionesses outfit this weekend who are hoping to enjoy a good season themselves.

Durham boss Lee Sanders could consider making some changes to his starting XI after watching his side struggle to make the breakthrough against a well-drilled Lewes side last time out. Attacking players Nicky Gears and Bridget Galloway could be considered for starts after playing a part in helping The Wildcats finally establish a lead late on against The Rookettes after being introduced from the bench. Forward Iris Achterhof is sidelined with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury until next year.

London City Lionesses head coach Lisa Fallon is not thought to have any new injury concerns to contend with. Republic of Ireland internationals Hayley Nolan and Alli Murphy returned from international duty unscathed. Nolan and fellow new signing Atlanta Primus made their debuts against Crystal Palace last time out and received praise from their head coach therefore the pair are likely to retain their places in the side.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at midday and will be available for live streaming on the FA Player.
