Welcome to the latest weekly update from the Manchester City Women Official Supporters’ Club.
It has been another big week for City as we finally played and won our Vitality Women’s FA Cup quarter-final tie a very good Leicester City side. We now face Arsenal at home on Thursday in the semi-finals with the prize of Wembley tantalisingly close once again.
Of course, we are very disappointed to be unable to attend the game so we have again tried to do a little bit to help our members enjoy it ‘together’. For both the semi-final on Thursday and the Spurs game on Sunday, we have arranged our popular virtual watch-a-longs with our members. When you put these together with the fact that we also have our virtual AGM next Monday, we will be seeing a lot of each other over the next few days and we are extremely excited about that. We miss our members as much as our games.
Another piece of news this week is that we are delighted to announce our third season sponsoring local girls team Tameside United Under-11s (@TamesideUtdGFC). We are so proud to be able to do this, it is an objective we set ourselves when we launched five years ago. The team will again take to the field this season with our logo on thier shirts and we wish them well for the new campaign.
Sending Gareth Taylor and the squad the best of luck for the coming week and wishing our members continued good health
