Young Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper sent out on loan

Young Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Emma Bradley has joined FA Women’s National League Division One North club Chorley on loan according to reports on Rovers’ official website.

The 18-year-old returned to Blackburn Rovers for a second spell with the club in the summer after spending two seasons at Barclays FA Women’s Super League outfit Manchester City.

Bradley has been named as a substitute for Rovers on three occasions so far this season and with the player in need of first team football, she has been allowed to join FA Women’s National League Division One North club Chorley on loan. It has been reported that the teenager will spend the remainder of the season playing her football 11 miles down the road from her parent club.

The keeper spent much of her youth in Blackburn Rovers’ Regional Talent Club (RTC) before Bradley moved to Manchester City where she got the opportunity to work alongside club legend Karen Bardsley, helping her gain vital experience.

Bradley has been a back-up for Manchester United loanee Fran Bentley at Blackburn Rovers this season while Alex Brooks was preferred in last night’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup group fixture against her former club Birmingham City at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
