PREVIEW: Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal

XXXX in action during the FA Cup Second Round match between Crawley Town and Redbridge at the Broadfield Stadium on December 3, 2011 in Crawley, West Sussex.

Arsenal will be hoping to continue their winning start in this season’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League when they meet Brighton & Hove Albion at The People’s Pension Stadium in Crawley on Sunday.

Joe Montemurro’s side are one of just two clubs who have started the new campaign with three wins out of three and they will be hoping to continue that trend against an Albion side who are without a win in their last four matches in all competitions.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Hope Powell is likely to make changes to her side following The Seagulls’ 4-2 penalty shootout defeat to West Ham United in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup in midweek. Goalkeeper Megan Walsh is likely to be recalled while midfielder Inessa Kaagman could also be drafted back in. Republic of Ireland international Rianna Jarrett put down a marker with a goal against The Hammers in midweek and she will be hoping to retain her place.

Arsenal boss Montemurro again has a number of injury concerns to contend with ahead of his side’s trip to Sussex. Goalkeeper Lydia Williams continues to be sidelined with injury while Jill Roord, Jordan Nobbs, Kim Little and Lisa Evans are also not expected to be part of The Gunners’ matchday squad once again.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Arsenal is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Sunday afternoon and will be screened live on the BBC Red Button and on the FA Player.
