Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to collect their first victory of the season in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League when they face Reading at The Hive on Saturday.
The North Londoners have collected just one point from an available 15 so far this season, a record which Karen Hills and Juan Amoros’ side must improve sooner rather than later.
Spurs joint-head coach Hills could return to the dugout after being in self-isolation for 14 days as a result of coming into contact with another person with Covid-19. In terms of on-field personnel, the North Londoners will continue to be without goalkeeper Aurora Mikalsen and Chloe Peplow through long-term injury.
Reading make the short trip to The Hive on the back of a hugely disappointing 3-0 defeat at West Ham United in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup in midweek. Manager Kelly Chambers could opt to make one or two subtle changes to her starting line-up as The Royals seek to end a winless sequence of three matches in all competitions.
The two sides met on two occasions last season with Reading winning both meetings. The Royals won 4-0 at The Hive in the group stage of the FA Women’s Continental League Cup before beating Spurs 3-1 on home soil in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
The latest meeting between Tottenham Hotspur and Reading kicks-off at 2pm on Saturday afternoon with the game available to stream live on the FA Player.
