Chelsea have confirmed that next weekend’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against West Ham United at Kingsmeadow will be played out in-front of a limited capacity of around 700 spectators.

The match will see fans return for the first time since Emma Hayes’ side saw off Liverpool in the fifth round of the 2019/2020 Vitality Women’s FA Cup on 17 February.

The Blues have confirmed that around 700 tickets will be made available for next weekend’s fixture against West Ham United via their official website this morning. The tickets will be made available to season ticket holders only via the club’s online ticketing system from midday tomorrow on a first come first served basis. Fans living in Tier 3 have been advised that they will not be permitted to attend the match.

Chelsea come up against a West Ham United side who recently parted ways with manager Matt Beard following a tough start to the new season. The Hammers are yet to appoint a replacement for Beard, although there is a need to do so sooner rather than later with the club having won just once in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League so far this season.

Next weekend’s fixture at Kingsmeadow is one of seven where fans will be permitted to attend under the new UK Government tiering system. Liverpool have announced a limited capacity of 900 for their FA Women’s Championship fixture against Crystal Palace while Everton have revealed that their Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against Manchester City will remain behind-closed-doors.
