Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema is slightly ahead of Chelsea attacker Sam Kerr in terms of average shots on target per game in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League so far this season.
The Dutch goal ace is the league’s most accurate shooter with 2.58 shots on target per game while Australian international Kerr has registered 2.48 shots on target per game across London for Chelsea.
The pair are some way ahead of the third most accurate shooter in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, Manchester United’s Kirsty Hanson who has averaged 1.76 shots on target per game while Arsenal’s Jill Roord has the next best average of 1.73 shots on target per game.
Kerr has had less shots on goal in total (26) than Miedema (44) but the Chelsea forward has a slightly higher goals per shot average of 0.27 compared to the Dutch international’s average of 0.25. Kerr is also ahead of Miedema in the overall shots per 90 minutes category with 4.97 shots per 90 minutes compared to the Arsenal forward’s average of 4.93.
In terms of shot accuracy, Miedema has registered 52.3% of her overall shots on target while Kerr has managed to hit the goal with exactly 50% of her attempts.
Miedema has an eye for goal from a greater distance than Kerr with the Arsenal forward having taken aim from 14.5 yards out on average while Chelsea’s Australian international’s average shooting range is 11.4 yards.
The current top scorer in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League is Miedema with 11 goals while Kerr is the joint-second highest goalscorer with seven goals alongside Arsenal’s Jill Roord. Miedema is bidding to be the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s top goalscorer for the third consecutive year.
