Tottenham Hotspur hold the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s worst disciplinary record going into 2021.
In their nine matches played so far this season, the North Londoners have collected 17 cards in total, a tally made up of 16 yellows and one red.
West Ham United are the next least-disciplined side in the league with 15 yellow cards and one red card while Reading have collected 14 bookings over the course of their 10 games.
Spurs duo Rianna Dean and Kerys Harrop top the disciplinary table alongside West Ham United’s Gilly Flaherty. Forward Dean has picked up two yellow cards and one red while teammate Harrop is the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s most-booked player with five cautions.
Rehanne Skinner’s side have also committed the greatest number of fouls (124), seven more than Manchester United and 14 more than Reading.
Spurs have also given away the joint-highest number of penalty kicks this season (three) along with Reading and bottom club Bristol City.
At the other end of the disciplinary table, Chelsea and Manchester City boast the best disciplinary records with just four bookings each while Arsenal have committed the least number of fouls (71). Manchester United, West Ham United and Everton are the only sides in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League yet to concede a penalty kick.
