Durham manager Lee Sanders has completed the signing of American defender Dee Bradley according to reports on The Wildcats’ official website.

Bradley joins The Wildcats as she looks to combine her footballing career with her studies at Durham University.

It has been reported that Bradley has been training with Durham for several weeks and has done enough to earn herself a deal at Maiden Castle.

The Newtown Square-born defender is said to be versatile. She can play in various positions across the back-line while she formerly adopted a midfield role earlier in her career back home in the United States.

Bradley started her career with Penn Fusion where she won three State Championships before she was named on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in three consecutive years between 2015 and 2017. While at former club Old Dominion University, Bradley went on to establish herself as a team captain before moving to England to further her studies.

Durham have confirmed that Bradley will be available for selection at Lewes this afternoon in what is the club’s first FA Women’s Championship fixture of 2021. The Wildcats will be hoping to collect three points in Sussex which will see the club continue to apply pressure to current league leaders Leicester City.
