West Ham United have confirmed via their official club website that attacker Rachel Daly and midfielder Ruby Grant are leaving The Chigwell Construction Stadium following the expiry of their respective arrangements with the club.
Experienced England international Daly joined West Ham United on a loan deal from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Houston Dash in September while former Arsenal academy star Grant signed a short-term deal with the East Londoners prior to the start of the season.
West Ham United have today confirmed that both players are leaving the club, although Daly will continue to train with them until next month.
Utility player Daly, has made nine appearances in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League for The Hammers, scoring three goals including strikes against both Manchester United and Chelsea. Teenager Grant has been given six outings in the league, although just two of those have been starts.
The departures of Daly and Grant could result in new West Ham United boss Olli Harder entering the transfer market to bolster his squad. The New Zealander has already made Emily van Egmond’s loan deal from Orlando Pride permanent and he could now move to bring some fresh blood into the squad.
West Ham United are currently scheduled to return to action against Tottenham Hotspur at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Sunday.
