Coventry United have completed the signing of Birmingham City winger Destiney Toussaint.
The 32-year-old midfielder joined the Blues in September following a long injury lay-off and successfully returned to a high level of fitness with the club.
Toussaint has struggled for starts for Birmingham City in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League with December’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal being her only appearance from the first whistle, however, Blues boss Carla Ward has used the player from the bench on five occasions.
Coventry United have today announced via their official club Twitter account that Toussaint has joined the club. The winger becomes a Coventry United player for the second time in her career following a previous spell with The Red and Greens between 2012 and 2014.

The bulk of Toussaint’s career has been spent in The Midlands. She started her senior career with Leicester City prior to her first move to Coventry United. The experienced campaigner has also represented Aston Villa during her 13 years as a senior player.
The midfielder is no stranger to second tier football after turning out for Oxford United, Villa and London Bees at that level of football in past seasons.
Toussaint could make her Coventry United debut against Sheffield United at St George’s Park on Sunday.
