West Ham United and Durham will be playing for the right to meet Chelsea in the semi-finals of this season’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup when the pair contest their quarter-final tie at The Chigwell Construction Stadium this evening.
With three of the four semi-finalists having already been confirmed, we will learn the identity of the final side to qualify in Dagenham this evening.
New West Ham United boss Olli Harder lost his first match in charge of The Hammers on Sunday, the East Londoners going down 1-0 to Spurs in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. The New Zealander could opt to make some subtle changes to his squad for the visit of Durham with the likes of Maz Pacheco, Hawa Cissoko, Adriana Leon and Alisha Lehmann pushing for starts. Harder is not thought to have any new injury concerns to contend with from the Spurs game.
Durham are set to be without defender Lauren Briggs whose suspension is thought to kick in straight away following her dismissal at Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Wildcats also remain without long-term absentees Abby Holmes and Iris Achterhof who are currently recovering from their respective injuries.
West Ham United’s FA Women’s Continental League Cup fixture against Durham will kick-off at 5.30pm this evening and will be available for fans to watch live on the FA Player.
