Everton midfielder Molly Pike has joined Bristol City on a loan arrangement which will run until the end of the season according to reports on The Blue Girls’ official website.

The 20-year-old former Chelsea academy graduate has found game time hard to come by at Walton Hall Park this season and the player is therefore going out on loan to have the benefit of some regular football.

Pike becomes the second player to join Bristol City on Transfer Deadline Day after Reading defender Kiera Skeels also sealed a loan move to Twerton Park until the end of the season.

In her Everton career to date, Pike has represented the club on 17 occasions in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League, scoring her only league goal in last season’s 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Pike contributed the most assists of any Everton player in last season’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League. The youngster has made four substitute appearances for The Blue Girls in the league this season while her only start came in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup.

Pike could make her Bristol City debut against Brighton & Hove Albion in their latest Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture at Twerton Park on Saturday.
