Two teams in the bottom half of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table face off at The People’s Pension Stadium tonight, as Olli Harder’s West Ham United side travel to Crawley to face Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Seagulls come into this game on a high after their surprise conquering of Chelsea at the weekend, whereas The Hammers are winless in the league in their last three games.
Hope Powell will be hoping that her team can pick up from their morale-boosting victory at Chelsea, however, East London side West Ham United hold a good record at The People’s Pension Stadium, winning on their previous two visits in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. With Harder’s team only two points above bottom side Bristol City, they will be hoping that they can continue their strong record in Sussex.
The Irons could be unchanged for this game as manager Harder looks to build some momentum and consistency following the club’s 1-1 draw with Bristol City at the weekend. Albion boss Powell could name the same XI as she is unlikely to make drastic changes to the side that picked up arguably one of the biggest wins in the club’s recent history.
Brighton & Hove Albion’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture against West Ham United is scheduled to kick-off at 7pm and will be available for fans to stream live on the FA Player.
