Manchester United have opted to recall goalkeeper Emily Ramsey from her loan spell at West Ham United ahead of schedule.
The 20-year-old Salford-born stopper joined The Hammers on an emergency loan deal last month. The arrangement was set to last until the end of the season but it has today been confirmed that Ramsey has returned to her parent club early.
Manchester United announced the news via a post on the club’s official Twitter account earlier today.

Ramsey joined The Hammers on loan to provide competition for Courtney Brosnan with Australian international keeper Mackenzie Arnold out injured. Arnold has now returned to fitness and is therefore ready to challenge for her position once again.
During her time at The Chigwell Construction Stadium, Ramsey made one appearance which came last weekend as West Ham United defeated Chichester & Selsey 11-0 in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round. The youngster has been named on the bench on five occasions in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League for The Hammers.
Manchester United boss Casey Stoney could opt to call Ramsey into the squad when The Red Devils take on Tottenham Hotspur at The Leigh Sports Village tomorrow.
