FA Women’s Championship club Lewes have this afternoon confirmed that striker Emma Jones will be leaving them this summer.
The 26-year-old Welsh international forward has spent the last two years at The Dripping Pan but she will leave the club at the end of her contract.
Lewes announced the player’s scheduled departure via a post on their official club Twitter account earlier this afternoon.
Lewes FC can announce that Emma Jones is departing the Club.
Jones won the 2019/20 Goal of the Season and has been a valued member of the squad for two seasons.

Jones joined Lewes following a spell with FA Women’s National League South club Cardiff City Ladies. The striker has appeared for The Rookettes on 22 occasions in the FA Women’s Championship, scoring one goal which came in the club’s opening fixture of the 2019/2020 campaign against Blackburn Rovers at The Dripping Pan, a game which Lewes won 5-1.
Lewes boss Simon Parker has regularly used Jones this season, although many of her 13 appearances have come from the bench and the player is likely to reap the rewards of a brand new challenge next season.
The striker becomes the fourth close season departure at Lewes. Jones joins midfield trio Danielle Lane, Filippa Savva and Simran Jhamat in leaving the Sussex club so far this summer.
