Crystal Palace have confirmed that midfielder Andria Georgiou has left the club after spending the last three years in South London.

The experienced midfielder joined The Eagles ahead of their debut season in the FA Women’s Championship in 2018 and she has proven to be a reliable member of the Palace squad.

With Palace having announced the departure of attacker Ashlee Hincks yesterday, the club also soon went on to confirm that midfielder Georgiou is leaving Hayes Lane. The Eagles confirmed the news via a post on their official club Twitter account.

Georgiou started out with London Bees and she appeared in the first FA Women’s Super League 2 match for the club in 2014. The midfielder went on to spend four years as a senior player at The Hive before enjoying a successful campaign with West Ham United.

In 2018, Georgiou joined Palace following the hasty award of an FA Women’s Championship licence to the club. The player has gone on to represent the club in the second tier on 36 occasions and has contributed one goal.

Georgiou made her final appearance in a Palace shirt as The Eagles lost 9-0 against Arsenal in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fifth round on Sunday. The player came off the bench to feature for the final 34 minutes at Meadow Park as an end was brought to her Palace career.
