Lewes have announced that goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders and defender Rhian Cleverly have signed new deals with the club for next season.
Saunders impressed in what was her first season at Lewes this term, keeping seven clean sheets in 18 FA Women’s Championship games while teammate Cleverly’s performances helped her pick up a trio of club awards.
There have been several exits at Lewes so far in the close season but the club have announced some positive news on next year’s squad with two of their most consistent performers committing their futures to the club. The Rookettes announced the news via a post on their official Twitter account.

Goalkeeper Saunders is a former England youth international who has spent time in the United States, France and Iceland prior to her move to Lewes. She beat off competition from Laura Hartley to make the number one jersey at The Dripping Pan her own this season.
Cleverly has spent the last two years with Lewes after returning to the English game following a spell with French club Le Havre. The once-capped Welsh international can also count Bristol City amongst her former clubs.
Lewes recorded their highest-ever finish of fifth place in the FA Women’s Championship this season and the big challenge for the club is to now push on even higher up the table.
