Leicester City forward Charlie Devlin has signed a new two-year contract with the club according to reports on The Foxes’ official website.

The 23-year-old former Manchester United player, who can also operate in midfield, made 18 appearances for Leicester City in their title-winning campaign, scoring two league goals. She also helped the club reach the semi-finals of the FA Women’s Continental League Cup and the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

With The Foxes now preparing for top flight football next season, it has been revealed that Devlin has signed a new two-year deal. She joins defender Ashleigh Plumptre in committing her future to the club.

Speaking to Leicester City’s official media team after signing her new deal, Devlin said “I think it’s a great opportunity for me to develop my game.

“I’m now taking my game to a different level and that’s all because of Jonathan (Morgan) and I’m very grateful for that.

“I feel like after winning the Championship and obviously beating Man United, it’s just showing that we’re on a journey and I’m excited to be on it and I want to continue my journey at Leicester.

“I am excited to play in the Women’s Super League and hopefully there’s more to come.”

Devlin started her career with Arsenal where she struggled for first team opportunities. Spells with Millwall Lionesses, Manchester United and Charlton Athletic followed before the player joined current club Leicester City in 2020.
