London City Lionesses attacker Annie Rossiter has agreed a new contract with the club according to reports on The Pride’s official club website.
The 19-year-old has been with London City Lionesses since the club’s inception in summer 2019 and she made 13 appearances for The Pride in this season’s FA Women’s Championship as they recorded a sixth-place finish.
Rossiter is one of the brightest young players on London City Lionesses’ books and news of her new deal provides the club with a further boost as they prepare for next season. She becomes the fifth player to sign new terms with London City Lionesses in the close season with Shae Yanez, Atlanta Primus, Lily Agg and Harley Bennett having also signed on again at Princes Park.
After signing her new deal with the Dartford-based club, Rossiter said “I’m looking forward to the start of the season, continuing to develop under Mel (Phillips) and Cori (Daniels) and building on from last season.”
Now that she is under contract for next season, Rossiter will want to really push on with her career at the club. As an attacking player, she will be keen to bring more goals to her game having not scored in the FA Women’s Championship since early 2020. Improved goalscoring will be a collective target for the team in 2021/2022 to complement their good defensive record from this season.
