Manchester United have confirmed that forward Jane Ross is leaving the club this summer after spending the last two years at The Leigh Sports Village.

The 31-year-old Scotland international forward joined The Red Devils in summer 2019 following the club’s promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League but she will now move on when her contract expires at the end of this month.

Manchester United confirmed the news on their official club website this morning.

Ross made 23 appearances for Manchester United in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League across two seasons in which she netted three goals. More than half of her league outings came as a substitute.

The forward has spent the last six years playing her football south of the border and her experience would undoubtedly be an asset to another Barclays FA Women’s Super League club in the future. Ross’ first taste of English football came at Manchester City between 2015 and 2018 while the player also enjoyed a spell at West Ham United before her move to latest club Manchester United.

Ross is the second forward player to leave Manchester United this summer. The Red Devils recently confirmed that Jess Sigsworth is also moving on with the forward expected to be picked up by newly-promoted Leicester City.
