Coventry United’s teenage defender Alanah Mann has signed her first professional contract with the club.

The youngster enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with The Red and Greens this season and manager Jay Bradford has rewarded the player by offering her a professional contract at the Butts Park Arena.

Coventry United announced the news via a post on their official club Twitter account this morning.

Mann is still awaiting her senior debut for Coventry United, however, she was involved in manager Bradford’s matchday squad for the very first time this season. The defender was first named in the first team squad for Coventry United’s 5-0 defeat to Liverpool at Prenton Park in March while she also made the selection on four further occasions before the season came to an end.

Mann is rated highly by Coventry United and the club have been very keen to hold on to one of their most talented up and coming players.

Today’s news now means that nine members of the 2020/2021 Coventry United squad have been retained for the new season. The club have also made the impressive additions of the FA Women’s Championship’s top scorer Katie Wilkinson and Welsh international midfielder Charlie Estcourt.
