Former Coventry United attacker Beth Merrick has today agreed to join FA Women’s National League North club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons with The Red and Greens prior to her release, making a significant contribution towards their second tier survival bids.
With Merrick having been in the market for a new club, it has today been confirmed that the player will join Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves announced the move via a post on their official club Twitter account.

Merrick joins Wolves ahead of their first season in the FA Women’s National League North. The club were promoted earlier this month following a successful bid for upward movement through the women’s footballing pyramid.
In her time with former club Coventry United, Merrick made 30 FA Women’s Championship appearances. The player netted five goals for The Red and Greens including a hat-trick in a 4-3 defeat to a promotion-chasing Durham side at the Butts Park Arena in December.
Merrick takes plenty of FA Women’s Championship experience with her to her new club. The forward spent time with both Aston Villa and Sheffield United prior to her move to Coventry United and she could be a real asset for latest club Wolves in the third tier.
