Coventry United have announced the signing of departing Birmingham City midfielder Mollie Green on a free transfer.
The 23-year-old spent one season with the Blues in which she helped the club to Barclays FA Women’s Super League safety.
Birmingham City are understood to have recently held talks with Green over her future and it has today been revealed that the player has signed for FA Women’s Championship club Coventry United.
Coventry United announced news of the deal via a post on their official club Twitter account this morning. Green has signed a one-year deal at the Butts Park Arena.

During her time with Birmingham City, Green made 17 appearances for the club in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League in which she netted one goal. The player can also count Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United amongst her former clubs. Green is a former England youth international with the player having represented The Young Lionesses at Under-19 level.
The midfielder is the latest impressive new addition made by Coventry United who are showing real ambition in the transfer window. The club have also added the FA Women’s Championship’s top scorer Katie Wilkinson and Welsh international midfielder Charlie Estcourt to their ever-growing squad so far this summer.
