Birmingham City forward Lucy Whipp has agreed a new one-year deal with the club according to reports on the Blues’ official website.
The 25-year-old Ormskirk-born attacker was one of several players to be offered new terms by Birmingham City at the end of last season and she has opted to sign her deal.
Whipp joined Birmingham City in 2019 and the player has featured in 33 matches in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League for the club. The former England Under-17 international has also previously represented the Blues’ Barclays FA Women’s Super League rivals Everton earlier in her career.
After signing on again at St Andrew’s, Whipp said “I am really excited to have signed for another year and it is another season to play in the WSL. There is a lot to be excited about this season with a new head coach, new staff and lots of new faces.
“I am excited with what he (Scott Booth) is going to bring to the team. He has done really well in Scotland and I am looking forward to working with him and seeing what he wants to bring to the team this year.
“I am really pleased that pre-season is starting. The off-season has gone on forever, so getting back on the pitch, playing some matches and preparing, I am really excited for it.”
Whipp becomes the fifth member of Birmingham City’s 2020/2021 squad to sign a new deal with the club.
