Former Liverpool youngster Mia Parry has joined Blackburn Rovers according to reports on the Lancashire club’s official website.

The 20-year-old midfielder moves to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium after most recently turning out for FA Women’s National League Division One North club Liverpool Feds.

Parry came through the youth ranks at Liverpool before going on to play in a WSL Academy side which contained some impressive names including current Blackburn Rovers players Meg Boydell, Annabel Blanchard, Lauren Thomas and Milly Robertson. Parry will now link-up with her former teammates again following her short spell playing lower down the footballing pyramid.

After completing her move to Blackburn Rovers, Parry said “I’m so happy to have joined Rovers. I think it’s a good challenge for me which is what I’ve wanted for a while now.

“I’ve been in with the team for a few weeks and I’ve loved the environment and I now can’t wait for the season to get started.”

Parry becomes the third player to join Blackburn Rovers this summer. She joins Chloe Dixon and Hannah Coan at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

In other news, former Blackburn Rovers keeper Becky Flaherty has joined Huddersfield Town. She moves to the West Yorkshire side following a successful trial.
