Tottenham Hotspur will play their first fixture of the new Barclays FA Women’s Super League season at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium according to reports on the club’s official website.

Rehanne Skinner’s side face Birmingham City on home soil on opening day. Spurs would usually play at their nominated home of The Hive, however, the club have made the decision to move the game to the 62,850-capacity stadium, home of the men’s side.

It has been confirmed that the game will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday 4 September with full ticket details to be announced in due course.

Spurs’ women’s side are in action at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday when they face North London rivals Arsenal in a pre-season friendly. The game forms part of ‘The Mind Series’ with the men’s sides also contesting a fixture at the venue on the same day.

The North London derby has been a permanent fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the last couple of years. Spurs still hold the attendance record for a Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture when 38,262 fans watched their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal in N17 in November 2019. There is every chance that this season’s league meeting will also take place at the stadium.
