Lewes and Charlton Athletic meet at The Dripping Pan on Sunday afternoon in their rearranged FA Women’s Championship fixture.

The pair were set to contest the fixture on the opening day of the FA Women’s Championship season, however, the game was postponed as a result of COVID-19 cases in the Charlton Athletic camp.

Lewes’ first team interim manager Craig Gill will take charge of The Rookettes for the first time this weekend. Gill arrived at the club in midweek following the departure of former boss Simon Parker. He was on the bench for Lewes’ FA Women’s Continental League Cup fixture against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, a game that they lost 4-3 on penalties under the guidance of assistant Jesus Cordon. Gill could opt to make changes to the side with the likes of Tatiana Saunders, Ellie Hack, Lucy Ashworth-Clifford, Kallie Balfour and Izzy Dalton awaiting recalls.

Charlton Athletic head coach Karen Hills could call upon Emma Follis and Elise Hughes for the trip to Lewes with the pair having dropped to the bench for the midweek fixture at Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Women’s Continental League Cup. The Addicks remain without Lauren Bruton and Becky Jane but Ella Rutherford could return to the squad.

The FA Women’s Championship fixture between Lewes and Charlton Athletic kicks-off at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Tickets for the match can be purchased by clicking here.
