Manchester United have today announced that they will stage their home Barclays FA Women’s Super League against Everton at Old Trafford.

The game will be the second which Manchester United’s women’s team will have played at ‘The Theatre of Dreams’ but the first to be played with supporters present. The match will take place on Sunday 27 March 2022 and is scheduled to kick-off at noon.

Manchester United’s Old Trafford debut came back in March when they defeated struggling West Ham United 2-0 thanks to second half goals from Lauren James and Christen Press. That game was played behind-closed-doors with the UK still emerging from a winter lockdown.

Speaking following today’s announcement, Manchester United boss Marc Skinner told the club’s official media team “It’s a really exciting opportunity and another fantastic milestone for this team to play at Old Trafford in front of thousands of fans.

“We are so thankful for the continuous support they have given us and I hope that they turn out in big numbers and get behind the team as much as possible for what will be a really special moment for everyone involved.”

Manchester United face Everton in the reverse fixture at Walton Hall Park on Sunday. The Red Devils have a 100% winning record against The Blue Girls in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
