Arsenal will be hoping to confirm their place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals when they travel to Germany to face TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in their final group match on Wednesday.

The Gunners have almost qualified with only a heavy defeat by five or more goals being able to prevent them from reaching the last eight.

Home club Hoffenheim are sweating over the fitness of Swiss defender Luana Bühler who picked up a knock in training at the weekend. Head coach Gabor Gallai otherwise has no new injury concerns to contend with following Sunday’s 1-1 at SC Sand in the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga.

Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has confirmed that forwards Caitlin Foord and Tobin Heath will miss the match at the Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion. Long term absentee Malin Gut remains sidelined, as does England international Leah Williamson with the defender not due back until the New Year. Despite Arsenal already having one foot in the quarter-finals, head coach Eidevall insists that he will play a strong XI and will treat the game on the basis that The Gunners need a result to qualify.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League group fixture between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Arsenal kicks-off at 8pm on Wednesday evening. The match will be available for fans to stream live on DAZN.
