Manchester City will hope to avoid any upset when they travel to The City Ground to face FA Women’s National League Northern Premier club Nottingham Forest in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.

The Cityzens’ long grasp on the Vitality Women’s FA Cup trophy came to an end last season and they will now feel challenged to win back the silverware.

Nottingham Forest go into the match having last been in action around 36 hours ago. The Reds won 2-0 at Sheffield FC on Thursday to move up to third position in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division table. Head coach Andy Cook made a number of changes to his side for that match and he now faces something of a selection dilemma for Saturday’s fixture against Manchester City on the back of some promising performances.

Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor could have goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck back in the squad for the first time this season. The Cityzens will again be without Karima Benameur Taieb, Karen Bardsley, Esme Morgan and Chloe Kelly while new signing Julie Blakstad is not yet available for selection. Taylor has confirmed that some WSL Academy League players will be drafted into the squad.

The Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City kicks-off at 1pm on Saturday. Tickets remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
