London City Lionesses have completed the signing of attacker Shanade Hopcroft according to reports on The Pride’s official website.

The forward has gained plenty of academy experience in the English game with Chelsea, London Bees and Reading earlier in her career and Hopcroft is now set to test herself in the senior elite game with London City Lionesses.

Hopcroft becomes the second signing of the day at Princes Park with former Manchester City academy star Katie Kitching having also secured a move to the Dartford-based club.

Born in England, Hopcroft moved to the United States in 2017 to combine playing football with her studies. The player was a regular goalscorer for Daytona State College before going on to play a starring role for the Colorado Buffs.

After completing her move to London City Lionesses, Hopcroft said “It’s really exciting to be able to say I’ve joined London City and I just can’t wait to get onto the pitch and pull on a London City shirt for the first time.

“When I get on the pitch, the fans can expect me to give my all in everything I do, it doesn’t matter if it’s in training or on the pitch, I’ll always give my all.”

Hopcroft could be available for Sunday’s FA Women’s Championship fixture against Durham at Princes Park.
