Bristol City midfielder Chloe Bull has today received a recall to the Wales squad ahead of the upcoming Pinatar Cup.

The 27-year-old has only previously been capped by her country at senior level on one occasion but Wales head coach Gemma Grainger has been impressed by the player’s performances for her club so far this season and has today handed her a recall. Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josie Green has dropped out of the squad through injury allowing Bull her opportunity.

Bull signed professional terms with Bristol City last summer following a period playing in the Welsh Premier Women’s League with Cardiff Met. The midfielder has gone on to star for Lauren Smith’s Robins, playing a dynamic role for the club in the middle of the park.

Bull has made nine appearances for Bristol City in the FA Women’s Championship so far this season with eight of those outings coming as starts. She has also contributed an impressive four goals. When Bull has been on the scoresheet for The Robins, they have always ended the match as winners.

The midfielder will now link-up with Wales as they fly out to Spain for this month’s Pinatar Cup. Grainger’s side face Scotland on Wednesday in the quarter-finals. It is a game which could see her come up against club teammate Abi Harrison.
