Vitality Women’s FA Cup holders Chelsea will host Birmingham City at Kingsmeadow in the quarter-finals of this season’s competition.

The draw for the quarter-finals was conducted live on BBC One’s Morning Live show just a short time ago.

Heavyweights Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all negotiated their way through their respective fifth round ties over the weekend while there remains representation in the competition from the second tier in the form of Coventry United. There was one non-elite club in the quarter-final draw with FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division club Ipswich Town having reached the last eight.

Chelsea were the first team to be drawn out of the hat this morning with Emma Hayes’ side having been handed a winnable home tie against Birmingham City. Arsenal also have home advantage as they face second tier side Coventry United at Meadow Park while Manchester City take on Everton at The Academy Stadium. The final tie sees third tier side Ipswich Town host West Ham United.

All quarter-final ties will provisionally take place on Sunday 20 March 2022 with full details to be agreed between clubs in due course. This season’s final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 15 May 2022 with tickets available to purchase now by clicking here.
