Manchester City and Everton meet for the second time in four days on Wednesday evening when the pair contest a Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture at The Academy Stadium.

The two sides previously met at the same venue in the quarter-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup on Sunday afternoon. On that occasion, Manchester City ran out 4-0 winners thanks to a brace from Lauren Hemp along with goals from Caroline Weir and Ellen White.

Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor is not expecting any significant changes to his squad on the back of the victory at the weekend. Goalkeepers Karima Benameur Taieb and Karen Bardsley remain sidelined, as does captain Steph Houghton. Esme Morgan and Chloe Kelly are making good progress as they bid to return from long term injuries but they are not yet back to full health. Midfielder Vicky Losada continues to nurse her recent injury.

Everton’s interim manager Chris Roberts was unable to provide a positive update on the fitness of forward Anna Anvegård who is being carefully managed after recently suffering from the effects of concussion. Danish international forward Nicoline Sørensen remains sidelined as she continues her rehabilitation following a long term injury.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester City and Everton kicks-off at 7pm on Wednesday evening.
