Arsenal defender Lotte Wubben-Moy has signed a new contract with the club according to reports on The Gunners’ official website.

The 23-year-old centre-back is in her second spell with Arsenal after re-joining the club in September 2020. The player initially spent her youth with the North Londoners before moving to the United States where she combined playing football with her studies.

With Wubben-Moy being an important piece of the Arsenal jigsaw, the club today confirmed that the player has extended her contract at the LV Bet Stadium. In-line with the usual club policy, Arsenal have not disclosed the length of Wubben-Moy’s new deal. As part of the agreement, Wubben-Moy will work closely with the Arsenal in the Community programme off the pitch.

After signing on again with The Gunners, Wubben-Moy said “It feels amazing. This contract means so much more to me and to my family than just it being a football contract. It’s a commitment to the club and it’s a commitment to Arsenal, the community that it’s active in and to my life as a whole, because that’s what Arsenal is – it’s my life.”

Prior to the end of her first spell with Arsenal, Wubben-Moy starred for the club in the 2017 FA Women’s Super League 1 Spring Series. She has clocked up 30 league appearances for the North Londoners since returning and will now have her eyes on making many more after penning her new deal.
