Manchester City will be hoping to edge closer to European qualification when they face Brighton & Hove Albion at The Academy Stadium in their latest Barclays FA Women’s Super League match on Saturday.

The Cityzens are just a point behind third-placed Manchester United with a game in hand. Manchester City can leapfrog The Red Devils into the final European qualification spot, at least for the time being, with victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Manchester City head coach Gareth Taylor is not expecting any changes to squad availability ahead of his side’s latest match. Jess Park and Vicky Losada are making good progress as they bid to return to fitness while Karen Bardsley, Esme Morgan and Steph Houghton are further away.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Hope Powell has confirmed that defender Fliss Gibbons has returned to training, although she may not be ready to start the match at The Academy Stadium. Powell advised that there are a couple of niggling injuries in her squad and they will be managed going into this weekend.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion kicks-off at 11.30am on Saturday morning. Tickets for the match remain available and can be purchased by clicking here.
