Manchester United will be hoping to hold onto third place in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League table when West Ham United are the visitors to the Leigh Sports Village on Sunday.

The Red Devils’ hopes of European qualification were dealt a blow with a goalless draw at Aston Villa last weekend. Marc Skinner’s side therefore cannot afford any further slip ups between now and the end of the season.

Manchester United head coach Skinner remains without long term absentees Aoife Mannion and Millie Turner for his side’s latest match. It has been confirmed that on-loan Lyon forward Signe Bruun has completed training sessions in the lead up to the game and is set to be available for selection. Skinner could leave a couple of players out given the good availability within his squad.

West Ham United make the long trip to the North West without the services of long term absentee Maisy Barker who is out for the season. Goalkeeper Anna Leat also won’t feature again in 2021/2022. Defensive pair Lucy Parker and Gilly Flaherty could again be sidelined with knocks which they sustained prior to last weekend’s victory at Reading.

The Barclays FA Women’s Super League fixture between Manchester United and West Ham United at The Leigh Sports Village kicks-off at 12pm on Sunday.
