Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall has signed a new two-year contract with the club according to reports on The Gunners’ official website.
The 39-year-old stepped into the Arsenal hotseat last summer and he has guided the club to a Vitality Women’s FA Cup final as well as taking the Barclays FA Women’s Super League title race into the final weekend.
Eidevall has won 16 of his 21 Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches this season as his side have challenged reigning champions Chelsea to the bitter end.
The future looks bright for the North Londoners and the club this morning announced the news that Eidevall has signed on for the next two years.
After extending his contract with The Gunners, Eidevall said “It’s great. It allows me to continue to work for a club that I love so much and be around people that I really, really like, and to be able to achieve things together, so I’m really looking forward to that.”
Arsenal go into the Barclays FA Women’s Super League’s final day needing to better league leaders Chelsea’s result to win the title. The Gunners trail The Blues by a single point but boast a better goal difference. Arsenal end the 2021/2022 campaign at West Ham United while Chelsea host Manchester United.
