Tottenham Hotspur will play their home fixtures at Leyton Orient’s Breyer Group Stadium in 2022/2023.
Spurs announced the news via a post on their official club website just a short time ago. The move sees the club end their time playing at The Hive London, the home of Barnet FC and the London Bees.
The arrangement will see Spurs move much closer to the club’s traditional White Hart Lane home while Rehanne Skinner’s side should play on a better pitch next season with the playing surface at The Hive having come in for widespread criticism. Spurs have spent the last three years playing their football at The Hive as the club have risen up the Barclays FA Women’s Super League rankings.
The Breyer Group Stadium, or Brisbane Road as it is traditionally known, first opened in 1937 and has seen plenty of investment over the past two decades. The all-seater stadium has a capacity of 9,271 while less than five miles separate The Breyer Group Stadium and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It has been confirmed that Spurs will continue to be given the opportunity to play some of their high-profile games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the club look to continue to grow interest in their women’s team.
