Chelsea have completed the signing of French international defender Ève Perisset on an initial three-year deal.
FAWSL Full-Time were informed of the deal via an official club press release from Chelsea this morning. Perisset becomes The Blues’ first signing of the summer and she will officially join the club on 1 July.
Perisset moves to England after most-recently representing French club Bordeaux. The player spent two seasons at the Stage Sainte-Germaine. Perisset has won nine domestic trophies in the French game, including four league titles with former club Lyon. She was also a UEFA Women’s Champions League winner with that club in 2015/2016.
On the international stage, Perisset has been capped on 34 occasions by France, featuring for Les Bleues at the last two major tournaments.
After signing on at Kingsmeadow, Perisset said “It’s a fantastic honour to join Chelsea and to be the first French female player to become a blue! I am very thankful for the opportunity that has been given to me.
“The time was right for me to make this big move to London and join the English Super League and I cannot wait to meet the team and the fans later this summer at Kingsmeadow and at the famous Stamford Bridge!”
Perisset is expected to be the first of a handful of new arrivals at Chelsea this summer as manager Emma Hayes looks to bolster her squad.
